Teaching Philosophy

I understand that each person learns differently and has different musical goals. Because of this, I do not teach everyone the same. I do not teach out of any specific book or teaching program. Instead, I design lessons around the student and their own personal style and goals. I feel that this creates a more motivating and driven curriculum and makes lessons more enjoyable for myself and my students. Through these lessons, the student learns the styles they are interested in, proper guitar technique, and music theory that will help them understand this musical world we live in.
Lessons are taught in a safe, professional studio. My studio is equipped with the tools and material that the student needs to excel as a musician, and it provides a great environment for learning without distractions. There is also a waiting area for the parents and friends to sit and watch the lessons as well.
